10 yr old dog,cocker mix

the dog has had a continous cough , it's a dry hacking cough, coughs up very small amounts of foamy liquid,every eight to tenth cough it sounds like she is going to cough up a mouth full, but there is nothing, she is 10 yrs old,her teeth is all gone, and weighs about 35 lbs

Well, it depends on a lot of things and since I am not a vet and I cannot examine your dog, unfortunatly I cannot tell you exaclty what it is.  Maybe it could have some kind of mouth infection that caused it to get sick.  Or it could have what is called kennel cough.  Usually they only get that when they are around several dogs, like in a kennel, hence the name.  I encourage you to see your veterinarian asap.  Especially since 10 years old is pretty old for a dog.  Sorry I couldn't give you more information.
