Muscle Spasms/Miniature Fox Terrier

Lately our 11 year-old Miniature Fox Terrier, Speck has had increasing muscle spasms in his right front shoulder/leg joint.  This started last week with one episode every several days.  Today he had 2 episodes.  We would like to know if this is something that requires medical treatment, or is this consistant with the breed and Specks age?

I don't know what could be causing the spasms itself. Sometimes arthritis can settle in and cause the dog to hold themselves differently and the muscle will twitch.

Make an appt to see the vet and have some bloodwork done along with a full exam. Just to check out nothing metabolically is wrong with her.
