dog dander?

Question
I have a friend that has two dogs, one long hair [collie type] and one short hair. How much dander comes from these dogs that are kept indoors most of the time? Would it be detrimental to ones health?

Dander really depends on diet.  Dogs fed a high quality all-natural diet usually do not have dander at all.  If there is dander, usually supplementing with Omega 3 fatty acids will help as well as bathing with a shampoo such as Sebalyt.  Dander is not harmful to people at all.  If you have allergies, the hair, dander and saliva of the pet will be troublesome.
