I recently got an ehiem 2026 filter for my saltwater reef tank.(my friend gave it to me) when doing research i noticed it said fish ONLY. Will it have a negative effect on my corals? I also have a sump with a protein skimmer. I thought the extra filter couldnt hurt, or not?

Hi Jarett,

Your reef aquarium will be fine with using the ehiem 2026. Technically you can never really over filter an aquarium, and the more filtering the better.
