Pond size/muskrats/erosion

I want to know how to determine the size of aerator I would need for my pond, it is quite large(423' around) and deep(35') also I have a problem with muskrats that are causing erosion to the sides of the pond, I would appreciate any help that you could give me, thanking you in advance,:-) Colette

Thanx for your question.  Wow!  This question is way out of my and most pond enthusiasts' expertise.  Let me get this straight.  You have a pond that is 423 feet around and 35 feet deep?  This sounds like a farm or agricultural pond to me and not the small ornamental ponds with which I am familiar.  Your local county extension agent should be able to help you with pond problems or your state soil conservation agent can help too.  Give me your state and county and I'll put you in touch with someone who can help you with your issue.  I hope to hear from you soon.
