helo leigh
i wonder if you can tell me what is wrong with my pond fish
a couple of weeks ago some of our fish seemed to have white spot and they died these are mainly gold fish a couple of koi and green tench
we then treated the pond with a pond fungel treatment
but a week later we are still having fish die or sick ;
these fish seem to have white spot and are looking lathargic and are hardley eating
but the worrying thing i have noticed is there skin is also peeling ; have you any idea why the peeling is happening
we have pond plants a uv light and a pump filter
i have tested the water for ph ; nitrates and ammonia
these tests are all fine

Sorry I just got this message again I guess my first answer didnt make it through. I think you have a disease in the pond alright. Getting rid of it could be a problem. If the chemical treatment doesn't work you may have to drain the pond and refill. In any case check with a pet store they can probably identify the disease and suggest a treament.
I don't know much about fish disease. What you might try is unplug the UV filter. Why I say this is I have heard the UV filter kaills all of the bacteria, even the godd bateria that combat diseaseTry some of the feeder golldfish from a pet store. At least if they die they are only 35 cents each.
