Bump on fishs head

Question
I have a gold fish in a pond who has a bump on his head. It has a black spot in the center of it. Can you tell me what ir is? To me it looks like a burn or a splinter of some sort. It almost looks as if his body is trying to get rid of it or fester around it.   Thank you, Susan Gallion

It may be an anchor worm, known as "Lernaea" or even could be a fish louse or "argulus". Here is a link to good information on them;
