hole in the body

Question
hello.
i have a few scissor tails in a tetra tank. i got a fungus a while ago and cured it, but at the same time i noticed a few of my fish had this hole in their bodies. however most of them died off because of the fungus i was fighting. Now i have one scissor tail with a hole in his body. he has been fine for months now, swimming around with the other scissor tails. he is not an unhappy fish, but he is certainly not the happiest fish he could be. i take it is a similar problem to hole in the head disease, except it is not the head but the middle of his body. i have tried all medication i can think of, including anti-ich, fungus medicine and heal all, and adding salt but nothing seems to be getting rid of this hole. my other fish have not been affected all this time. do you know if there is anything else i can do to help my scissor tail?
please any advice is appreciated!

Answer
Hi Chris!

Well if the hole in your fish runs right though it like bullet holes, then it will obviously die. But if it isn't run through, then its probably a bacteria-infection. If the hole isn't very deep, then it can also be an infection combined with an injury. Try the API Stress Coat and Stress Zyme. Stress Coat can remove stress up to 40% while healing the wounds of your fish. Stress Zyme speeds up and improves the biological filter and lowers pH levels. Don't add salt if you have snails/scaleless fish in the tank because it will harm them.

Hope this helps! :D
