Question
QUESTION: I just got a fish from someone and i think it has a problem with d tail .its not straight and its bent and the body is a bit bumpy my Question is what is the problem if you know and what can i do to help  it ?

ANSWER: Hi Mozgaf,
This is very difficult for me to answer without more info and simply because I cannot see the fish in question of course.
The bent tail may be an injury or a genetic defect. If the fish's body is bumpy unfortunately it could likely be tumors. Is there anyway you could send a picture through a link of one of those photo sites like "Photobucket.com"

If you could provide a little more info about the species, like describe the tail condition a little more and if the bumps are all over the body or just in one region then that would really help. Pictures would be great if you could provide them also.

I hope I can help!

Answer
Hi Mozgaf!
Thank you for the pictures, they came out great!
You have a pretty goldfish there. I honestly didn't see much wrong with him, I could see where there bumps are that you are talking about. I'm not really sure exactly. It could be anything from tumors to a internal injury. Just keep a close watch on it. Does the little goldfish show any signs of being sick?

There's not much you can do besides make sure the goldfish has the best possible care. Make sure his/her water is very clean through as many frequent water changes as you can manage. Goldfish are big polluters and they must have large water changes especially when they may be sick.
Also make sure he has a varied high quality diet. Lots of vegetable based food and high quality goldfish food with lots of vitamins.

The bent tail may have been an injury, genetics or a vitamin  defiency like vitamin C.
I hope the goldfish gets to live a long and decent life, if you run into any trouble, feel free to write me again!

Best of luck!
Karen~
