Bamboo in aquarium

Hi, Do you know, can I put normal Bamboo, from my Garden into a Tropical Freshwater Aquarium. It the same Bamboo you would buy at a garden centre, Im planning on cutting some samll lenghts, not with the roots, just the actual Bamboo itself

I don't see that being a problem at all. Live plants are also a benefit to the water. You would need extra lighting which could lead to algae build up though. With an algae eater and as long as the light isn't on for more than 12 hours that shouldn't be a problem.
