Sick Platy?

Hi. I have a platy that I think is sick. She keeps shaking her head back and forth really fast which I have noticed a few days ago. She has also been zhiding in the cave in my aquarium which she has never gone into before. What could this be? Is it a disease? I f you could answer these questions that would be great. Thanks a lot.

there is a disease that is called shakes... where the fish tries to swim but doesn't really get anywhere.  Because this may be any number of issues... I would treat her with either General Cure, or Triple Sulfate.  I would also do about a 25% water change and get the water chemistry tested.  You can as a precaution add aquarium salt at its normal dosage.  Keep me posted.... dave
