Mollies

Hi,
I have a question regarding Mollies. I own one orange molly and 3 dalmatian Mollies. The orange molly recently had a Popeye and healed by it's self. Is it possible that my dalmatian Mollies could catch it even though it is gone? And what are signs of Mollies mating? thanks!

Hi Manahil,

Molly mating occurs when the male slides up next to the female and flips his bottom pointer toward her vent, inserts it fast, and then swims around her.  He will do this often, as his sole job is to impregnant females.

The Popeye can be very contagious.  If you put salt in the water, it's less likely to spread.  Mollies require salt also.
