Sick Gouramis

Question
Hello,
I have recently been given two powder blue dwarf gourami females. I have them in a ten gallon tank for right now. I want to introduce them to a 29 gallon tank with one angel, a red tailed shark, and a pleco. However, one of the gourami's swims only at the very top of the tank. The other likes to stay near the top as well. I am not sure if this is unusual or if it is normal. The opaline gouramis I did have did not act like this. I do know that the two dwarf gouramis were bullied and had their fins nipped at constantly by a group of african cichlids in the tank they used to be in before they were given to me. Any help you can give would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Ashley

Answer
Hi Ashley!
Well when fish swim on the top like that (usually with their mouth gapping up and down), it means there aren't enough oxygen in the water. Getting an air pump should do the trick. They surface to the top of the water because there are more oxygen at the top.

Hope this helps!!! XD
