Question
I have a little bowl with a blue and red male Betta fish! I got my fish about two weeks ago and he was acting fine! When i changed his water today he started acting crazy! He looked like he was cramping up and he just sunk to the bottom when i put him back into the bowl. I started taping on the glass to get him moving and he just sat there. He finally unrolled and swam for air but ever since he has been acting crazy. Every little sound that we make, he will start rapidly swimming around the bowl and while he is swimming he rolls and just keeps doing it. I need help!!!! There is just one fish in the tank and i have no filtration system.
                            Sincerely,
                                Stephanie
P.S. I am very scared and worried for the little guy!

Answer
Hi Stephanie;

It sounds like he is in shock. Make sure the new water is always the same temperature as the old water and that you use a water conditioner. Change the water at least once a week. Waiting too long between changes can shock them too.

I hope he is okay......

Followups welcome
