Betta fish pregnancy

Question
Can betta fish reproduce on there own? Also my male or female betta fish has this white bulge spot under her fins it is white and looks like a lump. Its on her lower part of her fins too

Bettas need a partner in order to spawn, though females are full of (unfertilized) eggs throughout their lives.

The spot you are seeing is most likely the "egg spot" of a female betta. It sticks out a little from her belly between her two pectoral fins.
