SICK???? BETA FISH

Question
QUESTION: I just got a Beta fish (crown tail) yesterday named Pretty Boy. I already had water sitting and waiting for 3-4. I put top fin water conditioner in it. I'm not sure of the size of the bowl but its not small nor is it gigantic big. I was reading about why they spit out food so I quickly put a lamp by him. He has those little rocks and the glass marble like stones at the bottom and a little pink fake plant I thoroughly washed them before placing them in there and slowly introduced him from his pet store water to the bowl water (filtered tap water). He seemed happy once we fully made the switch after 40 minutes to the bowl which is about 6 times bigger than the tiny container they had him in. He is kept in my room on my dresser. He was all happy at first but now he sees kind of "ugh". I woke up this morning and the water is kind of slightly not too much but cloudy. Why is that? I don't know if I should change the water I'm scared I'm going to freak him out and he is going to die. And he isn't eating this morning. He ate 4 pellets last night (the sales person told me to feed him until he stopped eating). I waited 12 hours to try and feed him since he ate 4 but he wont take any. Did i do something wrong? (This is my first fish by the way). And he seems to like it more kind of in the middle sometimes bottom of the bowl not up top where some sites said they like it. He doesn't have anything wrong I don't think he is swimming normally and poofs when he sees his reflection in the laps base and swims to the top every few minutes for air but he doesn't seem to want to stay there. Is that normal? And is it normal for him to like the sides of the bowl rather than in the middle by the fake plant? And why did the water get cloudy? And he seems to like staring at the top of the bowl and at me??? He ate all the pellets last night I stared at him and saw. Please help I don't want to kill my first fishy I'll be terrified to get another and probably think I'm a horrible person because if I kill him. =(

ANSWER: Ok the betta should be in a tank no smaller than a 5 gallon with a heater, filter, light, and decorations. It is normal for that small of a tank to get cloudy. If he doesn't eat the pellets within a few days i would try either forzen bloodworms and betta buffet by "Omega One". Also it is bad for your betta to puff up because it stresses him out and he can get sick when he is stressed. Don't feed him until he stops eating because that is unhealthy for your fish i would feed him 8 pellets every 24 hours and you can feed the pellets at different times so it keeps him full.

QUESTION: Yea.... I still don't know. He just started to lose color wasn't eating and it just smelt really bad (the water) the water was perfectly fine except it kept getting cloudy it was tested and everything was fine.
ANSWER: I'm so sorry i didn't think your fish was going to die. If you are going to get another fish i would suggest getting a bigger tank and some cloud clear from your petstore.

QUESTION: I didn't tihnk so either I thought I'd have enough time for the medication I bought to start working. At the moment I have a 9 mo daughter so a 1.5 gallon bowl is what the new fish(Spazz) is going to be in for the next month or two. Right now I haven't transferred him into it yet I am still rinsing the bowl out completely even though I've treated it with bleach and have probably rinsed it over 100 times I'm still cautious about there being any itty bit of bleahc residue so I'm still going to rinse it out with water some more.

Answer
Yes thats the hard part about blech you think you got it all out, but their is a liitle microscopic thing in their that kill the fish. I would just keep rinsing the bowl and the gravel to get out and disease that might still be in their. I hope everything else goes well if you have anymore questions please ask.
