oscar laying on its said

oscar looks ok but lays on said swims ok and only dose this some times

Hi John,
  Believe or not, this is just a thing that oscars do from time to time.  Some people think that this may be a hunting strategy, i.e., lie on the ground and look dead and then eat whoever comes over to investigate.  This is well-known and studied in some Malawi cichlids but no one has ever really studied in oscars.
