Scared parakeet

Question
I had my parakeet Bloo out and her wings aren't clipped so she flew. She hit a glass door and bounced somewhere. I found her but then she flew up to my parents room and I couldn't find her then. But when I did she was sitting next to my mom's mirror. When I got a bell toy and my phone which she LOVES, so didn't even make a sound. I have her back in her cage but she is sooo quiet and isn't really doing anything. Usually when she hits something she just kinda forgets about it in 2 minutes and starts singing again. What should I do?

Answer
Well, this sort of behavior is pretty normal.  Like you said she used to, they normally get over it quickly.  If they don't, its usually all in their heads, and they WILL get over it, even if it takes some time.

How long has she been like this?

I would try covering her cage with a sheet, that will help her calm down.  Maybe play some music, that always cheers up my girls!  They start singing in no time.

You might want to get her wings clipped before letting her out again, just to be safe.  A vet can do this for you if you don't feel like you can or should.

Hope this helps, tell me if you want to know anything else!
