nursing mare

hi my mare is nursing her one month old colt and i have wormed her and doubled her feed but i  am wondering about the way she looks now this is my first time with a nursing mare and im not sure what she should look like but anyway her belly is good and fat but her back end and backbones are kinda showing more than i would think they should but i dont know if thats just from her nursing or need more feed since she is nursing or what?

I'm sorry i cant help with that question. My mare's foal died so I dont have exprience in that or I didnt study anything either because I didnt have a reason to since the foal died. The next time your vet is out maybe you should check with him.
