Thank you for your question. Key nutrients involved in joint health are copper and zinc, as well as calcium, phosphorous and magnesium. These minerals can be found in forages as well as complete feeds but I would recommend a commercial mineral/vitamin supplement for racehorses. The nutrients responsible for hoof strength are biotin, methionine and zinc. Biotin and methionine are generally not added to complete feeds but can be found in a well formulated hoof supplement.
