Question
hello ma'am. first time in my life i saw a foal with my eyes standing beside her mother in the riding club which i had a visit day before yesterday. its a male kathiawari bay colored foal. that foal was so playful, came near me, tried to bite. i was frightened, pushed the foal and ran away. my instructor told me that he was just nibbling on all the people. they dont even have strong incisors to bite me. they are just a milk ones. so ma'am, how can i be safe with foals, how to approach them. please tell me ma'am!!!

Answer
I think you should ask your instructor to show you how to handle this foal.
It would be much easier to understand. You obviously have not been around horses too much. Aren't there other farms around you could visit to learn how to handle horses from people first hand?

There must be private people who own horses around you...ask if you can visit them and their horses.  Remember, however, that not all people handle horses correctly.

Foals can certainly nip, can "play" with people, kick a bit or rear a bit, it is called "horseplay", and they may not realize that you are not something to just play with.

It sounds like this bout, spend all the time you can with them.

Would your riding club allow you to help out with chores.......can you volunteer to spend time there caring for the horses?
