my seven year old wants to take her horse in a few of the local shows, what kind of clothes do we have to have, does she have to have chaps? ive noticed alot of western horses have short manes does that matter? thanks michelle

Dear Michelle,
             Alot of local shows don't require certain dress codes, but if you think they do you can talk to the person running the show and ask if she needs certain clothes.
             Most western horses have short manes because it is the western "Fashion" One that I find pointless as the mane helps to keep off flies and help then stay warm in the winter.
