My mare had her new baby last Wed. and it has been doing really well.UNtil today. It can't seem to latch onto her to nurse...seems very weak.Why? And what to do?

Call a vet and help her find milk on mom.  You can get supplements at a feed store to give to baby.  Don't let baby lay around too long or it will die.  Make it get up move, scare her if you have to but make her move to mom for safety.  Keeping them stalled up will hurt them, leave them in turnout or paster as much as possible.
