regular shoeing ?

i have a 8 yr old and we get her feet done every 6-8 weeks and we dont know whether to put a new pair of shoes on or to just get them taken of, her feet trimmed and then put the same shoes back on again? Thanks Chloe

Well, it all depends what kind of things you're doing with her. If you are doing lots of trail and road riding, then yes, I would put shoes on her, because all the rocks and un even footing, can chip and damager her toes, and hooves. If you are competing in jumping and stuff, then yes, I would put shoes on, to support her and stuff. If you are riding in a sand ring, and she has strong hooves, then I wouldn't put shoes on.
Also, it depends on the horse. If you see that she chips easily, then yes, keep shoes on her.
