Question
hi

i want to know whats wrong with my red eared slider turtle. he has yellow "pimples" in his neck , face ,arms and legs.can you help me out ????

Answer
Hello,

I'm not entirely sure of this one.
It might be a fungus. which is caused by a poor water quality or a lack of basking. This is usually treated with either a commercial product, called "Repti Turtle Sulfa Dip" or by a vet (Which I recommend).

Another cause that eventually can case these "pimples" is a too high water temperature. So before contacting a vet, I think you should first of all, make sure that the water temp. is around 78 degrees F.
Also make sure to keep the water clean. If the "pimples" doesn't disappear within a couple of days, you should probably contact a vet.

Best wishes
Sara
