Turtles in the corner
Hello,
Recently, I purchased a new, bigger tank for my turtles. For the first few weeks, they were moving around curiously, but recently, they would stick themselves into one corner near the filter and refuse to move. Please help me i am very worried!!!

Thank you for your question. First off you have two beautiful turtles.
As for your turtles staying in the corner, Do they stay in constantly or do they still come out to eat and move around some? Sometimes turtles just like hanging out in certain places. My African Side-Necked Turtle often tucks himself right under the filter just like yours do.
I did notice one thing that may be part of your problem. There is not NEARLY enough water in the tank for the turtles. The tank should be almost full with enough room for a basking platform and the filter. They can't swim very well when the tank is that shallow. That might be part of the problem. Try adding more water, and see if they start moving around more.
Just a side note: I am VERY glad to see that you are using river stones rather than gravel because turtles have a tendency to swallow gravel and can get impacted.
