remember me telling you about roo? he died about a week ago and i think about him every day, we even had a funeral. is there ANY way to help me feel better about him?it hurts.

Dear Evie,

I am so sorry to hear about Roo's passing.  Very few people truly understand how awful it is to lose such a deep little soul.

I would suggest that you might find some solace by joining EtherBun, at least temporarily.  It's a listserve about the care, health and behavior of companion domestic rabbits, and there are lots of people there who will understand your grief and share their own stories.

Your vet might also have information about local pet bereavement groups who can help you work through this terrible loss.  It sometimes helps to know you're not alone.

Roo was very lucky to have you as his "mom."  Most rabbits never know even a loving touch, but Roo had you his whole life, and never had to know the grief of losing you.  You were there for him always.  What a great gift you gave him.

He will always be part of you.  I will light a candle for him tonight.
