male rabbit smelly bum

i was wondering if you can give me some advice on my male rabbit.he has a very smelly odour coming from his bum.i persume that it is his scent glands preducing it as his bum is always clean.apart from getting him castrated is there anything i could try in the mean time as he is still to young.

You've looked and he doesn't have urine in his fur or feces sticking to his fur?  He doesn't have any sort of infection you can find?  It could be scent glands, or it could be the aroma that an unneutered male rabbit puts off.

Be warned they are very smelly, and you do want to clean them periodically, but it won't be fun for either of you.

On occasion they can get infected, but you will see pus if that is the case.
