Question
Thanks for the answer but I found out it was just an ear infection. Also, no injury from the jump that she did from my arms. She's a mini lop. Even though alot of rabbits don't normally get ear infections , I guess a lop could. Her ears needed to be cleaned out so they were and my vet gave me drops just incase of an ear infection. My rabbit's drops are Tresaderm. Her heard isn't going back and fourth as much (her doc. said that would go away in about a week) and I haven't seen any circling. I guess my question is, do you think my rabbit should be ok now?

-----Question-----
I have a six yr. old rabbit. This morning I noticed that she kept tilting her head to the right and hopping in cricle, NOT holding her head to the right but going back and forth. It happened again in the evening. I know about WRY neck and all but could it be something else? A week and a half ago, I had her in my arms on her back to check her stitches to make sure she was healing propery (she had surgery for a mammory tumor, back in Nov. and she is healing fine) She jumped out of my arms suddenly. Could this be what is causing the unusual behavor? Oh, and she seemed to be hopping different, like her hind end wanted to go towards the right. She is eating ok, she didn't drink today though and her eyes look fine. Her stool was kinda mushy today but seems ok now. What do you think?
Thanks,
Bridget

This does sound like wry neck, either that or she hurt her self when she jumped from your arms. Try giving her an antibiotic like terrymycin.

Answer
Since it is an ear infection you will need to keep an eye on it, because it can go into wry neck. Make sure that the antibiotics are working, and if he doesn't get completely better, then take him back to the vet just to be safe. Glad all is well though. An ear infection is much easier and has better outcomes than wry neck.
