Rabbit growths?

Question
Hi there!
I have a strange issue on my hands. Our rabbit has strange growths, and I'm hoping you will be able to help me out with identifying what the rabbit has. I'll describe the "growths": They are kind of rice-shaped, if you can picture it, only they are about teo inches long and maybe a centimeter or two thick. They are located on either side of his genitals, and the tip of them come out about a centimeter. The part that is showing is a dark brown almost black in color. They are hard, solid, when I feel them over his skin and fur they slip, but stay in place. They are so strange. There are the two of them. Just weird, I have absolutely no clue what they could be. Would you have any idea what this could be, at all? They've been there for months, now. They don't seem to be causing him pain, as far a I can tell. Thanks a lot! I'd love some advice!

Answer
Dear Jenna,

Now hang on to your chair.  From your description, it sounds as if you are seeing your rabbits...testicles.

You can see pictures of how to sex a rabbit here:

to confirm this.  If you're still not sure, a good rabbit vet will be able to help you:

Hope this helps!
