also is this qoute true:
KIDNEY STONES
Parsley ( Petroselium crispum ) "Parsley is a diuretic that helps prevent and treat kidney stones. It is recommended to make a tea of dried root, drinking 2-3 times a day. It would have to be given orally to rabbits to help dissolve them. Use fresh as a preventative." Cheryl

Answer
Dear Sara,

The main greens I would avoid for a rabbit would be spinach, and some of the mints that are not used as food by humans, either (e.g., Pennyroyal, catnip).  Pretty much any fresh herb a human will use as food is safe for a rabbit:  basil, cilantro, parsley (curly and Italian), culantro, dill, spearmint, peppermint, rosemary, tarragon (they LOVE tarragon), kale, etc. are great.

Parsley does have some mild diuretic properties, and it's a healthy addition to anyone's diet.  But there are no scientific data that suggest it can prevent kidney or bladder stones if your rabbit is genetically prone to form them.  Still, it can't hurt to give daily parsley, and your bunny will love it.

Hope that helps.
