Question
I have just brought a lionhead rabbit he is 10 weeks old, we have had him for 5 days. He hasn't eaten anything since we brought him, he has never produced any stools and he is getting really bony, he does drink and wee's. I'm really worried can you help pls

Answer
Dear Jenna,

Please get this bunny to a good rabbit vet immediately:

www.rabbit.org/vets

He may have severe dental problems that are preventing him from eating (Lionheads are notorious for this):

or he may be suffering from GI upset or even ileus from the stress of moving around and having a new home:

If he feels bony, he is probably dehydrated and needs emergency veterinary care to get subcutaneous fluids and some Critical Care to force feed.  He may need intestinal motility drugs and other medications, but only a vet will be able to know the appropriate treatment upon a physical exam.  Please waste no time getting him there NOW.

I hope he will be fine, and I hope this helps.
