Question
my english angora doe just had kits, and my buck, broke into her cage when kits were about eight days old, wondering would she have been fertile so soon after birth, and if i should expect another litter, and if and when she might reject first litter?

Answer
Rabbits are most fertile right after giving birth.  The best thing to do is to put another nest box in at 27 days after the incident.  Most likely she will continue to take care of the older kits but usually doesn't have enough milk to take care of both litters.  I just wanted to warn you ahead of time.

Good luck and I hope they all make it.

Sincerely,

Pam
