Rabbit trying to mount

Question
I have two house rabbits age 5. Baloo (male) Ruby (female).
They were both neutered as babies.
They adore each other and snuggle/groom happily.
The last 2 months Baloo is mounting Ruby repeatedly. What could make him start this after 5years.
Has he grown something/things back?

Dear Lily,

This is a mysterious problem that some rabbits develop, and it may involve adrenal disorders.  I would get him to a good rabbit vet for a full exam to be sure there isn't some source of pain that's causing him to act out.

If not, then a blood panel can be done to check his testosterone levels.  Abnormally high levels can sometimes be effectively treated with lupron, but results can vary.
