Rabbit has infected feet

Question
Hello, Lisa! I have a male rabbit of home of 2 years old. Some months ago he bit his back feet...at that time i thought it's because of his overweight and I hoped it would pass..but after some time I realised that he couldn't walk at all. I have been with him to the vet, he gave him some injection for 3 days and he told me to stop giving him injection because that could cause him a lot of others diseases, so he told me to put some antibiotic cream called nidoflor on his feet everyday. It has been over a month now and the rabbit still can't walk, but it seems that his feet are more inflated and it gets out some white-yellow infection from them. I mention that my rabbit eats and drinks normal. Please help me, as I love my rabbit very much and I wouldn't like to loose him. Thank You!

Answer
Hi Adina:

What do you mean by he "bit his back feet"?  Did he bite his own feet or did another rabbit bite him?

Are the wounds on the top of his feet, the sides of his feet, the bottom of his feet?

Are they on both feet?

Can you please take and post a picture of the wounds for me to see.

It's important that I know where on his feet the wounds are (top or bottom) and how it actually happened (you say he bit them, but rabbits dont bite their own feet).

I can help once I receive your additional information.

Lisa
