Question
I have a rabbit that has arthritis (diagnosed). I've read your article from 2011 'Hind limb paresis and paralysis in rabbits' which mentions cetyl-m as a treatment.  However, its made for cat, dog and horse and I was wondering which kind to use for a rabbit?

If you have other advice I'd like to hear that as well.

Thank you
Pamela

Answer
Dear Pamela,

All the cetyl-M products have the same active ingredient.  But rabbits find the horse granules the most palatable.  We use those.  Not sure they work, but it can't hurt.  Some people absolutely swear by cetyl-M, and even use it on themselves.

I'm not one of those, but I've never heard of any adverse side effects, either.

Hope this helps.
