Sick rat, help!

We have 3 female rats that we've had for a couple of years and we got them all at the same time. One seems to be sick.. she wobbles when she walks like a drunk. My mom love the rats and she recently separated the sick one from the other 2. She pet her in a cage alone but then sat the 2 cages side by side. SO, first of all I was wondering what might be wrong and if it will only make things worse having the sick one separated?

Wobbling is a sign of great weakness due to illness. I can only suggest that you get her to the vet. Yes, put her back with her cage mates. She needs their comfort at this time.

There are many illnesses that can cause her to be this way at this time, but the first one that comes to mind is Mycoplasmosis

Don't beat yourself up if you never saw this coming. Rats are such stoic animals that they can hide illness for a very long time.
