Question
A few days ago, I noticed that my female rat, 2 yrs. old, Molly her left eye changed color from brown to a pale bluish, especially in the center.  Then, while taking her out to play tonight, I couln't help but notice a grape sized growth on the opposite right cheek.  Then, I felt a huge growth underneath the back part of her legs and underbelly, almost pushing her anus and vagina to the one side. They are hard to the touch, and she they seem to be painful for her.  What the heck should I do?  I could see the one on her face possibly being an abcess due to where it is located, and the size, but is it possible for this to pop up literally overnight, and that large?  Help, this rat is our baby!

SHe needs a vet especially about that eye. Sounds like infection, especially if it changed over night like that.

The growth on the cheek, is there a scab or hole or even a crater? Is is squishy?

As for the areas on her hind quarters: Without seeing them, its hard to say, but I am hoping that the mass you see is not internal and possible in her uturus causing prolapse.  If it came up that fast, it could be anything from a uterine prolapse to an abscess.  I dont know if she is spayed or not but that would make things alot better if you tell me she is spayed!  If you need a vet please allow me to help you find one. All I need is your location (city/state)
