travelling with a rat

im going on holidays soon and my friend is going to baby sit my rat, Spanky, but she lives 6 hours away by car and i was wondering if you know if ratties get car sick and if they do, do you know of any home remedies to make they travel easier on him? he is 17 months old.

I travel with my rats all the time. I drive up to 15 hours with them and they do fine. They will probably sleep as usual. They do not get motion sick. Just keep them out of the direct sun in the car, and keep a towel handy so you can hang it over the cage where the sun may shine in. What do you plan on using for him to travel in?
