testicles

my pet rat seems to have extremely large testicles. they look like they may be swollen? any advice?

Have they always looked large or have they changed drastically?
If they just seem large and have always looked this way, I would say your male is just well endowed.

However, if they are swollen and are much bigger than they normally are,
he needs a vet right away. He may have testicular abscesses or tumors and this may be considered a medical emergency.  

You will need a vet that knows about rats. If you need one, let me know.

How is he acting?  Check his urine for blood or any discoloration  and odor as well.
