Need A Vet Pronto!!!! HELP

Question
My rat Todd woke up today and had some discharge on his eyes and on his nose. I was looking for a vet in the La Mirada, Ca area and found mostly no one that could see him. He did have this discharge before but it went away and didnt come back for about a month. I was also worried about the cost of the visit. Most of the places that can take him are asking 50+ dollars for a visit! I also have another rat that is making monkey noises for probably the same reason. I was wondering if it was possible to find me a vet near by that will ask for a cheaper first visit for the both of them. I'm just out of a job rt now and hardly have enough money as it is. Is there a way to just buy the meds from a pet med store? This is very hard. Thank you for your time its much appreciated!!!
