my rat has a strange lump on his side :(

Question

my rat I have a hairless rat named Splinter. I have had him since march 08. I noticed
a few months ago that he had this little bump on his side. I didn't think much
of it until it started to grow. It has at least doubled in size and looks
discolored. I was looking at it the other day and this white stuff came out.
like it was a zit or something? I'm very worried for him and don't know who
to ask for help. Will it heal? Is there some kind of treatment I'm supposed to
be giving him? Can i do this on my own or should I start looking for a vet
that can help me?

Well this certainly is not good.
I recommend you take him to the vets as soon as possible.
Donot squeeze it!
The fact that I cannot see it, I'm not sure if it is an abcess, or a tumor.
If its a tumor, you will need to get it removed, Whenever you can get to a vets, I would go emmediatly!!!
I don't want to frighten you, but I want your Splinter to be happy and healthy!
