socializing my rat

Hello!

We've had our pet rat, Puddin', for about 2 weeks now. About the second day into having her, she bit me. And now, I'm kind of scared to handle her. She has a wheel, a water bottle that's changed everyday, food, and a tube to play in. I also say hi to her everyday. How can I socialize her without getting bitten? :)

Hello Lydia,

She may just need to get used to you, Take her cage and place it on the ground and let her come out on her own. Offer her treats and dont attempt to pick her up untill she starts crawling on you. then you can try to pick her up.
