Question
My pet rat is about 2 years and 4 months and in the last two months I have noticed that her functioning in her back legs isnt the same she seems to be having extreme trouble walking in line and also climbing throughout her cage, she has increased eating + sleeping and she also bleeds from her girl bits every so often (maybe two times in the last month).

I havent taken her to see a vet as last time I did they couldnt help me, they had never had someone bring a rat in.

Can you possibly tell me whats wrong or recommend an australian vet preferably in melbourne, but sydney if nessecary

Answer
She may have hind leg paralysis. You can read up on elderly rats and this condition on my website. There is also info on treatment that one of my readers has sent in that has helped her rats and many other people claim it helps their rats too, so be sure to scroll to the end of the page.
