How do I get 3 week old tiels to handfeed?

21 16:26:15

Question
I have 4 baby tiels that are almost 4 weeks old now. I pulled them from the nest this past Monday (2 days ago) to handfeed. They are not enthusiastic about handfeeding. Do I just let them get really hungry before trying to feed them or do I somewhat force feed? That's what I have been doing thinking they would catch on and be more conducive to handfeeding but so far they don't want much to do with handfeeding. Currently I am feeding less but more often until I can get them to catch onto the handfeeding process. The oldest will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and are doing fine so far..but I don't want to keep basically forcing them to eat. How do I accomplish that?

Answer
When I was handfeeding baby budgies at first they wont touch the syringe...thats what I used. If you pry the edge of there mouth open with the syringe they will start to eat if you squirt a small amount in tehre mouths...hold there head while prying the mouth open to avoid hurting the babies necks.
