my green/cheeked conure

my conure is 1 year old and the first bird I've ever had. Just
recently I've noticed little white feather stems all over his
head. There are no feathers on them. It looks ugly. Can you tell me what causes this and will it go away or what I need to do. Thank You for your time.

Those are pin feathers. They're new feathers in a "case". It is ugly, but they'll go away in a week or so. This happens a couple of times per year.
