Today when I arrived from work I noticed a small spot of dry blood by his nostril and noticed that his beak looks like it's separated a little from the skin by the nostril area. Will this heal on its own?

Hello Gisela and thank you for your post.
I am sorry that it took so long to answer you, but I was called out on an emergency.
To be on the safe side, your bird should be seen by a Certified Avian or Exotic Animal Vet, possibly for a beak trim or reshaping.
It might heal on its own, but there is a good chance the it will heal crooked which can cause your bird to have problems eating.  There is a reason that his beak has seperated, and you need to find out what the reason is and address and correct the issue.
