one of my birds got away is it likely to come back

Hello Michael and thank you for your post.
If the bird that got away is hanging around the outside of your house, you can try putting its cage, with food and water inside of it outside.  It might come back into the cage for food, especially with the weather getting colder and the fact that food is not plentiful this time of the year.
Be sure that there are no other birds in the cage that you set outside as they might freeze to death.
