Blue and Gold Female McCaw

Question
My macaw is exhibiting behavior that is not like her and I'm not sure what is going with her.  I don't know if this is behavior of a female bird trying to breed or if she is just acting out for some reason.  She is approximately 10 years old and I have had her since she was 8 months old.  

When I pick her up, she squats down and lifts her tail straight up and makes a noise from her beak that is really strange... for a long time.  This is happening every time I pick her up.  Lately when I pick her up, she has been excreting a white and clear substance from her back end area.
  
Also, when she is standing on her perch, she lifts her tail up and makes a sound like a whistle from her back end area.

- Is she still able to 'poop' ?  Still eating?  I'm very worried about a lot of what you've described.  If this were my bird, no kidding, I would have beento the vet the very first day I noticed something wrong.  You know why?  Because prevention of major, life threatening conditions is always going to make you and the bird feel good no matter what the price.  What's the value of unconditional love?  How much should we pay for this magnificent devotion?

OK lecture done.  In the last 2 months I've  had two different macaw owners claim they found their birds dead y'all of a sudden.  Upon investigation I learned there were symptoms going on for MONTHS.  

You're right, this could be broody behavior, but it could also be several other very bad things that only a vet can diagnose AND fix.
