? can u help me help him ?  (i dont no how old he is)

Answer
Dear Rebecca,

Mice chatter constantly but usually it is too high for us to hear.  Sometimes a mouse will have a lower 'voice', maybe due to a past respiratory illness, and will make a constant or intermittent audible chatter.  I think it is adorable.

It is possible, though, that he is ill.  Keep him warm, avoid stress (loud noises, other animals, being dropped), and make sure he always has food and clean water (all mice must also have a wheel).

If he seems to become lethargic, hunches over, stops eating, his nose runs, or he sneezes a lot, that would indicate a cold.  The best thing then would be to call a vet who might prescribe Baytril, but if that isn't possible, and I know well that mice are often low-budget pets, just take good care of him and he will likely pull through.

If you need a vet, make sure she or he is experienced in small animals such as gerbils or hamsters.

Your mouse is probably fine.  Enjoy him!

squeaks n giggles,
